Historical Note: Josiah Harding Andrews, Jr. was a member of the Purdue University Class of 1901.  He was from Seymour, Indiana and went by the nicknames of “Si” and “The Swede.”  He was a member of Pre-Medical Society, Sigma Chi Fraternity and the track team.  He was class secretary in 1898 and 1899.  Andrews’ thesis was titled, “Working formulas for New Elixira.”  He graduated in 1901 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
