Historical Note: Alice Rice Cook was a colleague and personal friend of Lillian M. Gilbreth. They co-authored the book, The Foreman in Manpower Management in 1947. Cook worked as an employee relations consultant and was the supervisor of the Employee Relations Training Program of the City College of New York. The Alice Rice Cook Papers contain clippings regarding the Gilbreths, correspondence with Lillian Gilbreth, and correspondence and materials regarding the death of Lillian Gilbreth.
