<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Kessler graduated from Purdue in 1936, with a BS in Animal Husbandry. He earned a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics in 1938. He has been active in farming in Montgomery County for more than 52 years, raising hogs, beef and corn. Kessler served on the Board of Trustees from July 1973 to June 30, 1988. He is a member and past president of the Indiana Farm Management Association and the recipient of two Sagamore of the Wabash awards. He is a member of Region IV, Board of Trustees of Indiana Vocational and Technical College [now Ivy Tech Community College] and Sigma XI.</span></p>
