Name: Goldman, Jerome
Historical Note: Jerome Goldman was born and raised in New Jersey and received a BS in Aeronautics & Astronautics (1947) and an MS in Education 1965. He was hired to work for Purdue Airlines [Purdue Aeronautics], a charter airline. Goldman also had involvement with Civilian Pilot Training [CPT], an act passed by Congress in 1939 and ended in 1944. Purdue Airlines was sold in 1968 and many of the pilots went to work for Southwest Airlines. Goldman discusses the Midwest Program for Airborne Television Instruction [MPATI], a unique educational program operated by Purdue University 1961-1968. Goldman also worked for the FAA.
