Scope and Contents of the Materials
The collection consists of one folder which contains an article by Walter Jones.
Biographical Note
Walter Jennings Jones entered City College of Baltimore in 1879 for a five year course, which he completed in 1884. In the fall of 1884 he entered Johns Hopkins University, and he received his B. A. in 1888. He then went on for his graduate work at Johns Hopkins in chemistry, taking minors in mineralogy and geology. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1891. In September, 1892, Walter Jones came to Purdue University and was Professor of Analytical Chemistry.
