Two folders containing articles by William Brady, correspondence written by him and 2 obituaries for him.

Biographical Note

William Brady was born in Tippecanoe, Indiana in 1864.  He moved to the South Chicago area in 1889.  Brady was the chief chemist of the Illinois Steel plant of South Chicago and dean of the Chemistry and Metalllurgia of Steel.  He was survived by his wife Laura, a daughter, Mrs. Victoria Brady Abbott, and a son, Van William Brady, and three bothers and a sister.  The funeral was held April 26, 1923 at the Windsor Park Masonic Temple.
