Biographical Note

Herschel Hunt was born in Gibson County, Indiana, and received his bachelors degree from Oakland City College. He holds masters and doctors degrees from Indiana University. Before joining the Purdue Chemistry Department in 1930, he was an instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1951, he was chosen "Outstanding Teacher" at Purdue University.
