Scope and Contents of the Materials
The JobTraks Career Series compact disk collection (1999-2006, 0.25 cubic feet) documents a radio program called JobTraks that was produced at Indiana University. Several Purdue University faculty members were interviewed for the program. The program includes career information and contemporary music. Some of the careers discussed in the program include: veterinary medicine, agricultural engineering, agricultural business, landscape architecture, and hospitality and tourism management. Some of the contemporary music includes bands such as Matchbox Twenty, Pearl Jam, 3 Doors Down, TLC, New Found Glory, Coldplay, Christina Aguilera, and Sheryl Crow. The audio files are all saved on the CDs in a .cda format, which means that the files are audio files that are stored on CD media. The audio on the .cda files can only play from a CD-ROM and, as a result, the ability to transfer the files to another source, like a server, is impossible since the .cda files are representations of CD audio tracks. The .cda files do not contain the correct code that would make them available on other media.
