Scope and Contents of the Materials

The Purdue Artifact collection (1880-2000, 8 cubic feet) documents different historical aspects of Purdue University. Each artifact has been given a unique number and then organized by size, and sometimes format, in boxes. The items are of various sizes in various formats, but all have a Purdue connection. Some examples are a salt and pepper shaker set, handkerchief, window decals, and silver tea spoons.

This is an active collection and will be frequently added to on an ongoing basis

Item 6: ART 31, 1948 Apr.: Dance Program. "The Junior Class of 1949 presents the JUNIOR PROMENADE, Friday, April Twenty-Third Nineteen Hundred Forty-Eight." Seven paper pages enclosed between metal covers and attached with two metal rings and a black tassel. The top metal cover is decorated in black and copper with the image of the Heavilon Hall tower in the background with the words Junior Prom 1948 over it. The back metal cover is copper in color.
