Scope and Contents: The Josiah H. Andrews, Jr. scrapbook (1897-1901; 0.3 cubic feet) documents Josiah H. Andrews, Jr.'s time as a student at Purdue University. Among the items featured in the scrapbook is a strong focus on material from the track team and Sigma Chi fraternity for which Andrews was a member. The items include invitations, newspaper clippings, photographs, programs, ticket stubs (some from the Athletic Association), ephemera and various miscellaneous items. Also featured is an “Anthropometric table,” from measurements of 2,300 students, including Andrews and “measurement and prescription” manual. Also found in the scrapbook are his class schedules, grades, rules governing students, and a newspaper clipping of John McCutcheon’s drawing, “Marooned.”
