Scope and Contents: The Purdue University Campus Maps collection (1908-2011; 2.65 cubic feet) consists mainly of “Welcome to Purdue,” campus maps, campus accessibility maps, self-guided tour maps and numerous 8 ½” x 11” campus maps with building abbreviations and names. Some specialized maps can also be found in the collection, such as, aerial maps, “center of population,” historical data about buildings, campus tree guide, Purdue Arboretum map and listing of trees on campus, bike path and parking map, pedestrian map, campus parking areas and bus system, “Purdue Farm”, Theta Xi construction/run-off map, sources of funds for construction of Purdue University buildings, West Lafayette/Lafayette and Tippecanoe County maps. Along with the maps there are some guides, brochures and several plans and studies. The collection is organized within two boxes, with oversized maps being housed in a flat file.
