Scope and Contents: Two folders, one of diaries, publications, and newspaper articles by or about Anne Lutz (1871-1938), an early female scientist and genetics researcher who specialized in documenting chromosomes in plants and was an expert in the area of chromosomes of Oenothera mutants and hybrids. Anne M. Lutz has been credited with discoveries relating to the double chromosome theory. Of particular interest are two handwritten diaries of Anne Lutz during an assignment in Belgium, dated 1911-1912, as well as articles written by her about the chromosomes of Oenothera mutants (1912-1917).
